Rockology is a Party Rock Band based in the Chicagoland area, bringing to life the greatest hits throughout the history of rock and roll!
From the isolation of the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020, Rockology Chicago was born when a group of like minded musicians got together over the Internet using FocusRite Scarlet USB devices to connect and rehearse for the eventual day when people would be able to put their dancing shoes back on and shake their groove thang!
Rockology features female vocalist Amber Oasis, whose incredible vocal talents are only equaled by her personality and the way she connects with the audience. Her male vocalist counterpart Roger Coons offers a change of pace while also providing the sweet sounds of multiple keyboards and adding in an additional guitar when required. Lead guitarist Jordan Collier note for note guitar solos will leave you wanting more!
Meanwhile, Rockology co-founder Mike Mazur on drums and James McKinley on bass make up an amazing rhythm section that lays down the pocket for the swarms of dancers on the floor.

AMBER OASIS
FEMALE VOCALIST
Amber Oasis is a rising talent in the local music scene, known for her powerful voice and raw stage presence. As the lead vocalist for ROCKOLOGY CHICAGO, she brings energy and a captivating sound that’s sure to turn heads.
Her talent and charisma has already begun to capture the attention of local music lovers. Whether belting out rock anthems or modern pop hits, she’s proving to be an entertainer to be remembered.
Roger Coons
MALE VOCALIST, KEYBOARDS, GUITAR, BACKUP VOCALS
Roger is the keyboard player and rhythm guitar player for Rockology, as well as its lead male vocalist, also providing beautiful harmonies for Raychel. As one of Rockology's founding members, Roger has been playing music sine a young age, starting with piano studies in classical, contemporary and modern music, and then moving into guitar studies. He recently received his PhD in Rockology.
A few highlights of bands he has been in: Unknowns, guitar, bass and lead vocals - opening act for Topaz; East Side Blackout - Guitars, Bass, Lead Vocals Blues and Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute; Cabral Acoustic Trio - 12 string, 6 string, Bass Mesa, AZ live show tour; Freelance Assist Various artists on studio tracks and sit ins for live performances Flamenco style Spanish Guitar, Electric guitar, vocals; Reckless - Guitar, Keyboard, Vocals.
Prepare to be amazed at the sounds coming from Roger's keyboards, and how quickly he transitions to guitar and/or lead vocals!
Mike Mazur
Drummer, Band Manager & Backup Vocals
Rockology co-founder Mike Mazur rounds out the rhythm section, playing drums and percussion, and adding backup vocals. Mike has been playing drums since he was 13 years old, and also plays acoustic guitar and piano.
He has a deep love for music, and can often be heard talking about its “Magic Power” referring to the song from the band Triumph and the magic healing power of the music and the way it brings people together. His drummer influences include Dave Grohl, Ringo Starr, Kenny Aronoff, Mick Fleetwood, Tico Torres, Phil Collins, and Kelly Keagy.
Some of his former bands include The Knowbodyz, Shagg, and Mirror Image, as well as playing drums for several major theatrical performances.
JORDAN COLLIER
Lead Guitar & Backup Vocals
Meet Rockology Lead Guitar Player, Jordan Collier. Jordan brings a rich blend of blues and classic rock influences to the band's sound, and his signature laugh is infectious.
Inspired by legends like Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, S.R.V., David Gilmour, Jimmy Page and Prince, Jordan’s lead guitar playing adds both emotional depth and high-energy solos that elevate Rockology’s performances.
Jordan has been teaching guitar at Front Porch Music since 2017, helping students master technique and develop their style. He has also made a name for himself filling in with many bands across the the local scene, and is excited to Party Rock with all of you!
JAMES MCKINLEY
Bass Guitar & Backup Vocals
James lays down the bottom end for the band, drawing from a broad range of music and musical styles from alternative to punk to country and R&B, finding something to connect with in each genre.
One of the first things you notice about James is he's always smiling and laughing! His energy on stage is infectious, dancing his way through every tune and giving additional party rock energy to his bandmates. His influences include KISS, Paramore, The Blues Brothers, and The Eagles, and he strives to bring the same type of stage presence as all of the musicians he has drawn on for inspiration.
James is often heard saying “I just love to play music.” In addition to playing bass, James also plays guitar, and is excited to bring the party to all the Rockologists out there as part of Rockology Chicago!
